Saradox opened a bath and shower bomb manufacturing unit in March 2022. After extensive formulation and product development research, the products were tested in the consumer market with very positive feedback. Consumers are crazy about our bath bombs stating that "it provide great fizz and fragrance"!
The unit has a design engineering team that design and build custom bath bomb molds for customers. All designs are 3D printed and tested before sent for manufacturing. During the recent Christmas manufacturing season the unit manufactured more than 200 000 bath bombs for customers. The bath bombs are either sold as loose units or packed into gifting formats for customers.
During the 2020 floods in Durban the water supply to the Saradox factory in Durban South, was interrupted for 16 days. Fortunately our business had a rainwater harvesting system installed in 2018 and the water storage system was able to supply the factory to keep production going. We have now extended and increased the capacity of the rainwater system. Two new, inline WISY primary filters and rainwater recovery points and an additional 20000 litres of storage capacity was installed. The design and installation was done by the engineering team from Tizagenix.
This increased their rainwater recovery potential and storage to 80000 litres of water. 50mm of rain now allows the factory to recover approximately 75000 litres of rainwater. All the rainwater is purified and then used as process water in the factory. It further protects their business against ongoing water supply interruptions, and also reduces their business’ environmental impact while delivering significant operational savings.
